Dr. Kotak provides surgical procedures to address cancers of the anal canal and cancers of the anal margin, including squamous cell carcinomas, adenocarcinomas, melanomas and gastrointestinal stromal tumors. While anal cancer is considerably rarer than colon or rectal cancer, the most commonly seen forms of the disease are squamous cell carcinomas. Caught early enough, this can be a treatable disease with a good cure rate, so it’s important to seek prompt medical evaluation if you are concerned about potential symptoms. Dr. Kotak performs both local resections and more extensive abdominoperineal resections to address these cancers, and is eager to help patients overcome their disease. Arrange for a surgical consult with him by calling 727.270.9927 or by filling out an appointment request form here.
